She smells sea shores by the C line

I tend to forget that Boston is a coastal city. I hardly ever get down to the Harbor, and let's face it, these days, no one throws tea parties like they used to.

But every now and then, the wind shifts and I catch a scent of the sea. Usually a gray, overcast, wet kind of day like today

I still haven't been down to the sea since I got here. Or smelled it, either. Also, thanks for tagging smells. Not enough people tag smells...

I now live in a costal city myself. And I thought I'd take more advantage of it than I do. I thought I'd spend more time by the water but nope... Hasn't happened much. I think it's all because of the wind. It's aaaaalways windy here and it get chilly. To go to the water front it really needs to be sunny and warm for it to be enjoyable.
But you made me think of going there this weekend. "There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes"...

You're so right, Stiney. They just don't do tea parties like they used to. :) I know how much the Midwest scares you, but Chicago is a coastal city, too, in a way. I can't imagine the city without the water...although it doesn't smell like the sea, it just wouldn't be the same.

The ocean is such a fabulous smell - it has been far to long since I've been to the coast. Isn't it amazing how quickly we forget what is woderful about where we live?
